Starting 31st March 2025, the UK Government is implementing new Simpler Recycling regulations. These reforms are designed to make waste collection and recycling more straightforward and consistent across England, ensuring clarity over what materials are recyclable and improving overall waste management practices.

At Monks Cross, we are committed to aligning with these changes and supporting a cleaner environment. To help our visitors adapt, we’ve taken steps to introduce a more organised waste system throughout the shopping centre.

We are pleased to announce the introduction of a new bins in the public areas of Monks Cross to support these regulation. We have placed paired General Waste and Recyclable Waste bins throughout various locations across the shopping centre. Each bin is clearly labelled with large signs showing what should be disposed of in each. The bins are strategically located to ensure convenience for all visitors, helping everyone to participate in keeping Monks Cross clean and eco-friendly.
